Ms. Ream sculpted a bust of Lincoln from life. She spent considerable time in the White House and Lincoln sat for her as she worked on her study of him.<br /> After Lincoln's death she was awarded the commission to sculpt the Lincoln she is famous for. Her Lincoln is one of the oldest statues of Lincoln.
